OK, I have to say that I am not a big fan of Jimi Hendrix music. I don't dislike it by any means, but not something I would choose to listen to. But Jimi is a big part of my neck of the woods. He is buried a couple miles down the road from me (awesome memorial at the cemetary for him) and sometimes his cousin would hang out with us 30 years ago back when we'd cruise the Renton loop.

This photo I took is of a huge picture of him at the EMP (Experience Music Project) Museum. I'll eventually do the 2nd page of his guitars and outfits he wore.

A month ago I was at a big box store and I came across this suede fringe in the ribbon section and it reminded me so much of this 60's-70's era and I knew I had to use it on a Hendrix LO. The I wandered back into the fabric section of this store and found all these fabric quarters. I fell in love with this against the fringe ribbon and I knew I would be doing a Purple Haze LO! I remembered my LSS where I took my first SB class 15 years ago had a die cut font called "Bell Bottom" and yesterday I finally got down there to cut them out.

A adhered the fabric to CS using copper brad for that rivet look. I had some old purple ribbon I did around the photo. I was so thrilled with the overall outcome of how this turned out!

Thanks for looking and leaving your sweet comments.
