Hey Everyone. Thought if I don't get some bits into my gallery soon, I may never return & that wouldn't be a good thing. It is still the place I feel more comfortable sharing and so many of you have been there for me with support, encouragement (and Lols)!
I realise there are still many of your pieces I need to visit & though I cannot promise to get to them all, I will try to become more regular in the 'comments' area.
Did I mention Lols? - Me doing a layout? Hmm, well I actually did this last September when Autumn was upon us. Since then we have had another season change and so I thought I'd share it. It is heavy with mixed media although the photos don't show the amount of texture or dimension. The leaves are REAL, yes, I went out & collected leaves, coated with a gel medium to preserve and strengthen. I was and still am inspired by Misty Russell (she does have a gallery here - mistymomof2). That's where any comparison ends, her creations are just incredible, if you haven't checked her out, I encourage you to take a look. The best way to see her work is to watch her YouTube chnl, amazing start-finish videos!
Of course the title has come to mean more to me than just nature changing & as it was the last piece I did before daddy got so ill, it marks so many changes that have come about since. This piece seems apt, change of any kind can be hard & at times we kick & scream our way through. We do get through though (somehow) & those of you who have helped me (& are still doing so) have made it just that bit more bearable!.
