This wall, which we call our "OOH RAH" wall represents my personal freedom because had my husband not faithfully served this country in the United States Marine Corps, we may not have any. The red item is a small Marine Corps flag. The family heirlooms are: 1.)The small black book to the left of the mantle: This was his grandfather's navy handbook from around WWII. 2.)The two upper most swords he purchased after the birth of each one of our daughters. He intends on making a show of sharpening them when the start dating and their dates arrive at the house to pick them up. He feels that this will be much more effective than the more traditional cleaning of a gun. Once they are married he plans on presenting them with their respective swords so that if their husbands should ever "get out of line" they have the means of "putting them back in their place".
