Your grandson looks so much like you! My daughter looks a lot like my MIL. Im actually dedicated a scrapbook page to it...eventually! This LO is adorable!
This is a wonderful page for the challenge, Cathe! I love everything about this, most of all your photo's! Your journaling is wonderful and I adore the plaids! Over the top and a favorite!!!
I enjoyed your journaling and I am sure your grandkids will be happy to learn more about your childhood days. Very nice pics - love the outfits in the B&W one.
Wonderful page of your school days. I love the journaling and the pics. You really used great embellishments for this layout... and I see your stitching.
What a great page for our challenge. I love this!!!! I love all that you journaled too......you gave me some moments to remember just reading some of your life style. I love the papers you used, the tag you made with the stitching is cute, your photos are so adorable.......and that plaid is such a 50's look. I love this page!
Lo for a challenge on Rockin' Scrappin' Grams. We were to scrap a lo about something we wanted our grandchildren to know about us. The twist was to use stitching, which is on my tag. The design was a lift from page maps. ( I think). The alphabet paper is old and from my stash. The doily was punched using a Lucky 8 punch from We R Memory Keepers. The lined shape behind the date is from the Girls' paperie. It killed me to cut it up, but it went so well with the design, I had to do it! LOL, Journaling: I attended St. Stephan's Grade School in Streator, Illinois from first through 8th grades. I walked to school with my friend Vicky and her brother Mike. When we moved to Vermilion Street I rode to school with Mom. She started teaching at St. Stephan's as the first lay teacher. I loved that my mom was in the same school as me. I usually ate in the cafeteria. I remember standing in line and in the 12 x 12 tiles C-A-F-E-T-E-R-I-A was spelled out. My aunt Lucille Berry worked as a cook. The food was delicious, except I hated the haluski. On Fridays we sometimes ate at home. Grandpa would make us pancakes. My grandparents lived with us after Grandma had her stroke. They lived with us from about 1955 to 1960. when mom was expecting Jean, my grandparents moved to Albuquerque. (there would have been 7 in house) My Grandpa's brothers and sister lived there. On the tag: At recess we would play jump robe, and hop scotch. We weren't allowed to wear pants. It was mighty cold standing around on the playground. My friends and I would link arms and walk around. If you were a patrol girl or boy you might be stationed at a door. No one was allowed inside. The nuns were at the convent having lunch.
