This LO is a tribute to my cousin that I never knew. Robert Hebert (pronounced A Bear) was my Mom’s most favorite 1st cousin her same age. They were very very close. I could tell Mom cherished her relationship with Robert. She never got over his death. I take comfort knowing that they are now together in Heaven. Robert gave his life at the young age of 20 years for our freedom. It really hits home when you know that someone in your family sacrificed for the entire United States by giving their life to ensure freedom around the world. I thank Robert for this. I wish I would have been able to know him because from what I heard from Mom, he was very loving, kind and funny.
I chose Bo Bunny “Avenues” collection because the colors just seemed fitting. The scanned picture and newspaper obit were left in the yellowing aged condition as the originals. I used some info on the Korean War from the old encyclopedias that belonged to my parents and also used words from the Kaisercraft “Remember Me” collection that were PERFECT for this LO. Robert is a hero.
Thank you so much for viewing my LO! Have a wonderful day and enjoy the memories each day brings. Lisa : )
