Firstly I painted Victorian Velvet, Weathered wood distress paints on the background to cover up some very bold deep red wording on the 7Gypsies p.p. Then gessoed over the ledger stencil with a mixture of gesso and Evergreen bough re-inker. Sploshed some drops of Pine Needles paint over the two adjacent corners. Around the edge of the page I used Burnished Brass Distress Crackle paint. The twine is from a piece of burlap.

This man had an idea, and it was big. He had an idea to leave his place of birth England and seek a new life. Little did he know that his life as an apprentice Printer (this photo is of him setting a print block) was about to change forever.
When he landed in Zambia, then Northern Rhodesia, his adventure began, in the first few days of him landing he met his future wife, started working for a Newspaper and soon after marrying and having children became Advertising manager for the same Newspaper, and went on to own his own business, an idea he would never have dreamed of in his life in England.
This man is my Dad. I love you Dad.
