This LO is darling and so is the photo of you! I love these papers, too bad they are discontinued. I love the layers, and lace and grouping of flowers. It is wonderful!
Very cute picture of you. I don't think there should be rules in scrapbooking. As long as you made a digital copy then I say why not use the originals photos. I been using a mixture of original photos and copies. In my heritage albums.
This is so sweet!!! I love those old handcolored pictures! You are so so lucky to have so many pictures for heritage layouts! Happy you came to scrapbooking again!
Alice, I am sorry I haven't been to visit for a while. This page jumped out at me as I was browsing... What an adorable picture, you can so tell it's you. I love the way you have embellished the page & kept the heritage feel. Precious memories... :))
oh Alice, what a priceless photo (there is something about those hand tinted pics that add such charm and beauty to the subject). I love this!!! As always - you have showcased the photo perfectly.
Such a beautiful lo & I love your photo, what a cutie you were! I remember those colored photo's, my graduation photo was done like that. guess that ages us!:)
Awe Alice this is precious of you and it made me smile because I could tell it was you. I have tinted photos as well of myself. They are so funny. The photographer wrote the colors of my clothes on the back. Very sweet LO, love the lace.
So cute! That's an awesome photo (sometimes I scrap originals too). I love the lace, dragonfly, and butterfly on this layout. (I knew that photo was you, as soon as I saw it, based on the photo on your avatar!)
Although I've been trying to keep up with your posts, I haven't posted in awhile because I was busy making cards (mostly Easter) and had no time to post them. I just couldn't wait to get back to my heritage pages.
I broke the cardinal rule of heritage pages and used the original photo for this page, which is one of me when I was about three or four years old. It is one of the hand tinted photos which were popular in the 1940's before we had perfected the science of color photos. I also have the original B/W copy of this photo, but I wanted to use this one because of the beautiful soft colors (except for the red lips). Perhaps because it is hand tinted and/or because of the moiree pattern, I was unable to make a good copy and decided to use the original.
I used a combination of Anna Griffen and Kaisercraft Prickled Pear patterned papers. The lace is from Tresors de Luxe and the beautiful butterfly was made by Renea.
I'm hoping it won't be this long before I post again. Thanks for looking.
