Good morning friends! Here's a birthday card I made for my other niece in Texas. Unfortunately, her birthday is today and I just got it in the mail so it is a belated birthday card!
This one is different from any I've made due to the fact that on the focal piece I used a wood-mounted rubber stamp. I never would invest in them due to lack of storage, expense and not being able to see the placement, but this is one that I got for free! All the rest of my stamps are clear that I use on an acrylic block. A friend of mine called me and said her mother was getting rid of most of her crafting/card making supplies and wanted me to come down and go through her stuff to see if I could use anything. It was like Christmas! I did take about 4 of her stamps and this was one. I colored it all in with my boys' colored pencils from when they were in school. I didn't have a lot of colors to choose from but I like how it turned out. I added a little glitter glue and distress stickles to the image for a little sparkle!
The papers I used for the card were also from my friend's mom! I added a few little roses I got from Hobby Lobby, some Perfect Pearls mist, and of course, a beautiful butterfly from Reneabouquets on Etsy.
Thank you all for stopping by. I sure appreciate all the wonderful feedback!
