Journaling: My favorite vacation so far would have to be the all-expense paid trip to Waikiki Beach my husband & I got to take in 2003! It was a reward trip he earned by completing several insurance courses, and his designation was conferred at a ceremony in Hawaii. The weather was perfect. The beach was gorgeous. Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. Some good friends of ours from church and work were there too, so we had other people to hang out with when we wanted. We had lots of time to spend JUST US too, because the kids were safe back home with grandparents. It was great! We are still so thankful for the opportunity to enjoy Hawaii for a week and we’ll never forget it!
I think right now my dream vacation would be for Jeremy and I to take the kids to Disney--maybe Disneyland, since neither of us has been to California. Since we are a one-income family, our finances are always tighter-than-tight, and we don’t really get to take vacations. (Vacation for us usually consists of visiting our parents in Indiana and swimming. In fact, this year, we‘re not even leaving home for vacation!) So, it would truly be a dream for us to be able to take our family to Disney and experience the joy, excitement, and wonder of it all with them!
