My friend, Katie McWaters lives in Georgia and makes beautiful handmade cards for me for almost every occasion! I have a collection of Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Easter and even May Day cards.
I have been trying to decide whether to put them with holiday decorations and display them on my mantel every year with cards from past years or to scrap them for my scrapbooks so I have them permanently in my scrapbooks.
Now that I'm scanning my scrapbooks I decided to scrap them, scan the page for my printed book and then remove the card to put on display from year to year. That way I don't have to decide! They are in my books and displayed from year to year.
It is so nice to come home from a trip and even though the holiday is gone, it makes me smile to open her cards that are in the mail for us to open. After one of our trips there were two cards in the mail waiting for me!
These are cards for the past 2 4th of July's from Katie.
