Journaling reads: "Aunt Arrie and Uncle Carley were my daddy’s aunt and uncle. I don’t remember really meeting them until I was grown and married. Their niece Camille would drive them up from Florida to visit with Mama and Daddy for several days each summer. During those few years I really got to know them and love them. They were such a sweet couple, still so in love with each other. They never had children of their own, but showered their nieces and nephews with lots of love, including me and my kids. The one thing that Daddy told me he remembered about Aunt Arrie from his childhood was that when he was just a small boy he was enthralled by his Aunt Arrie’s beautiful legs and how smooth and silky her stockings felt when he rubbed her leg. I can just picture the cute little boy that he was doing just that…"

Tree limb and nest are my own design, handcut. The birds are from a stencil. The heart is a button, tied on with small jute. The leaves are punched (MS). The title is done with a mix of cb letters and labelmaker tapes. "The Lovebirds" is freehand lettering using a Signo pen. The love stamp was done with the Cuttlebug and some deco scissors. Tree limb, birds, leaves and nest are doodled by hand. Last, I added a border of green rickrack across top. Thanks so much for stopping by!
