This is a picture of me when I was a flower girl in my Aunt and Uncle's wedding. It was June June 1949 and I was six and a half years old - that half was important then. My great aunt made my dress and I felt like a princess that day.

The lower image is a copy of a drawing by cartoonist and family friend, Frank Fogarty. He was the creator of the cartoon, Clarence, published in the New York Journal from 1929 to 1948. He also worked on the cartoon, Mr. and Mrs., in the New York Tribune from 1924 to 1963. He drew it in pencil and it is yellowed with age, but remains one of my keepsakes.

I used a lot of pp and embellies from the Prima line Sun Kiss, together with some things from my stash. The beautiful butterfly was made by Renea. The LO looks rather faded here as I took my photo in bright sunlight.

I'm not sure how many posts I will be making after this. I'm scheduled to have rotator cuff surgery in early July and will not be able to scrap for some time after that. I'm definitely going to miss it.

Thanks for visiting my gallery and for your encouraging comments. I look forward to them and always appreciate them.
