I have registered at Military.com and a few other websites, but so far no luck with identification. One problem I face is that these men are in their late 70's & 80's and most are not computer literate so they wouldn't be on those websites. I was put in touch with one very helpful, wonderful man who served at the same time but in a different unit. He was able to give me all the history but no identification. I just keep trying and hoping.
Nice LO. I love how the old black and whites look on such vibrant colors! As for finding people with a connection, have you tried going to a military site, say Military.com, to try and find people who served in the same unit? Just a suggestion. It might help because they have groups you can join there. Give it a try.
I haven't had time to scrap lately so thought I'd post another couple pages from my Dad's WWII memoires. I am trying desperately to find someone who can tell me the names of these wonderful men who fought with my Dad. If anyone out there has any connections who may be able to help me - husbands, grandfathers, great grandfathers, etc., please let me know. He was in the US Army, Company E, 172nd Infantry and spent time in the South Pacific - Luzon, New Caledonia, Guadalcanal, Coral Sea, Munda, and New Guinea
