This is a photo of my mom from 1969. I love the sepia tone. I got inspiration from a skirt of mine to do the stitching. I hand stitched the flowers, lettering and zig zag. Took forever!!! THere is a hidden journaling that pulls out. It reads:
This is a photograph of my mother in 1969 while she was a high school student at Liverpool High. I imagine she had many dreams and goals at this point in her life. I look at this photo and see myself there too. There are so many features that are the same, our eyes, smile, and hair. I know exactly where I come from by looking at this strong, confident, and lovely woman. My mother is beautiful! At this point in her life, she could not have even thought about who or what I would be. I am not even a speck in her eye, yet when I look at her gazing our at me, I feel so connected to her.
