This is the first time I used my Silhouette. For 52 weeks, Music, category 3, male artist, Volume, VLB, Compliment Corner. Journaling says: Woody Guthrie's music was a battle cry for the poor and disenfranchised. During events such as The Great Depression and the dustbowl he traveled the world and saw first hand the plight of the many who were left homeless, jobless, and desperate. Guthrie's music was simple but politically informed. "This train is bound for glory", and "This land is your land" were two of his most popular songs. He influenced Pete Seeger, Bob Seeger, Joni Mitchell, Bruce Springsteen, and many others. We went to see this show about his life and loved it.
