I liked these artificial orchids but the vase was turquoise and the sofa is a French blue. Couldn't pass up the price at Home Goods.
So I spray painted the vase in antique gold. Then I used rub and buff metallics in a few colors...walnut, then silver, then copper...who knows what other colors....kept rubbing and buffing till I got the shade I liked. Then I sprayed with a high gloss fixative.
And there it is next to the blue sofa....
