YOUR journaling is perfect! How many times as mom's do we jump onto our first emotional reaction! I love it and what a blessing it will be to your daughter one day when she knows, mommy admits wrongs, you are being a grand example to your daughter! The page and everything about it is incredible!
WOW , I love this , I guess this is why we scrap ...we forget things so easily and you have captured this in photo and journalling , one day she can look at this and have a great giggle. Once again WOW love it !
GREAT photo! This will be a family story to tell for years! And the journaling... so sweet! I almost had a tear in my eye when I got to the part about how bad you felt. Great story!
I agree! This is the funniest story! I love the lesson in your journaling, though. The LO is beautiful! Even with the sad face, you DD has the most beautiful eyes!
O....M....G.... ****thank you**** for the laugh tonight!!! My friggin belly hurts!!!! This is the greatest ever!!!!! Seriously----this is too much!!!! Thank heaven for cameras so you can always have this photograph. LOVE it. Oh, and btw, my dd had never been to a Chuck E. Cheese so the dang thing was her second fave part of our trip - lol. And, hence the tatoo that was on her arm when we visited Rushmore. That darn Chuck E. Cheese. :) Oh, and the burro----um, yeah, I was *lucky* to get that pic. I was laughing my tail off, leaning as far back in my seat as I could to take that pic. It's a freakin miracle that I managed to get what I did. :) I didn't crop that thing at all. He took up my whole frame. lol. Thanks again for the laugh! Have a great night! B
I have to say that I absolutely LOVE this photo. It is so real & I couldn't wait to use it, especially since I don't do blue too often!
Journaling reads: I startled you, hence the one lonely tear drop. I was doing laundry while you were happily working on your art less than five feet away. I peeked out to view your latest creation and was shocked. You looked up, proud as a peacock, and smiled. I hollered “KATY, NO!!” You froze, the smile instantly changed to a quivering lower lip all while I framed my shot with the camera. I took the picture before you could spin completely out of my view; you were so sad and ashamed. I should have quit after that picture. As I hustled you up the stairs, I tried to take more photos. You continued to hide your face from me. Your chin was tucked into your chest until the last little bit of marker joined your blue bath water. I hope I didn’t harm your artistic freedom and desire to create things of beauty by over-reacting. But, sweetie, I honestly wasn’t prepared for this. I think back on this moment and it makes me sad. I never wanted to shame you, I just don’t ever want to see you blue in any sense of the word.
