Photo of my daughter (SL) from last summer at just around a year old, looking out the window on a rainy day. Hidden journalling (tucked into sideways pocket made out of tag) is about how we would wait for dad to come home from work in the afternoon.

Again, very poor scan – far too lumpy to hope for much better (especially after four tries!). All my own handwriting on this one – “go” and “away” just barely visible in this scan under flattened clear marbles. “Rain splatters” on microscope slides didn't show up well either, in addition to “wish” charm on tag and “wait” from dictionary defintion. Empty-looking space above photo actually has hand-stitching of floral/foliage pattern.

Dark blue (background) and light blue (photo mat) cardstock from AC Moore; patterned paper is Sonnets by Sharon Soneff. Embellishments include MM white baby safety pins; Rebecca Sower floral stickers. Fibres/ribbons mix of “Adornments” fibres (blues), and unknown purple fibre, blue silk ribbon, and ivory offray ribbon. Other misc/unknown embellishments are assorted buttons, old stamps, microscope slides, beads, twill, metal charms, alpha-beads, paint chips (holds journalling), lace, fabric, silver dragonfly brad, watch crystal, silver “wish” charm, tags.. etc, etc, etc.

TFL,
Ashley.
