This is the first picture that we were ever able to take of our daughter after she was taken suddenly away by a NICU team right after delivery because she developed trouble breathing. (She was diagnosed with a pneumothorax, air in the chest cavity, due to the compression during delivery, which corrected itself without problems.) It had been an extremely high-risk pregnancy after the stillbirth two years earlier of our son and my diagnosis with medical problems. We were so glad to finally get to see her!
