Journaling: It is increasingly common to have mild weather into December. This year I hoped my roses would bloom into December but we had a killing frost in late November. The garden is cleaned up for the winter but the lavender and the dappled willow are still green and hanging in there. Christmas in my memories is snow covered, mittens and red coats on the way to Grandma Bowman's house. It's been a while since we had a white Christmas though.
