My cover..
I sewed the cover out of leather.. a sketch of a baby gorilla on fiber paper, that has been stained with tea bags.. held down with snaps, a real working buckle, I drew the compass on white cardstock, and put a snap in the center, then attached it to a peice of chipboard, White making memories simply stated rub on letters, and dried ferns.
