I chose the poem “Mother to Son” and the LO is about the best woman I have ever known.Journaling reads: Her name was Grace and I gave my only daughter her name. She was widowed while in her 30's, left to raise 4 young children on her own in the misery of the Great Depression. She never compromised, she never backed down and she made sure those children were rich in the only things that count. To me, she was softness and love, beautiful colors and the scent of lavender and ginger. She was my great-grandmother and her name was Grace.
