This is a weird LO I did for my first CJ {thanks Nisa!} It's ione of those, well it was late at night and I was experimenting kind of things…anyway here it is, lol. More of my weird mini collages and arrows and stuff. These are 9 x 9 pages btw for a Heidi Swapp Album. So a bit of the sides get cut off by my scanner. I will post the rest of the CJ (intro etc) in a bit. Yes, I read teen trash novels. I especially love SWeet Valley Hi gh. In college I studied the classics, my literary hero is Dante for goodness sakes! Yet, there still remains a soft spot in my heart for trash! Little did I realize when I discovered SVH, as a young girl that I would still read them as an adult! In my younger years, I admit, I was entranced by the world of Soap Opera Lite. Now I reread them from time to time for comfort or when I just want something I can breeze through without a commitment. These are today's pulp fiction, cheap dime store trash that can be read and tossed aside as soon as you are done. No thinking required. I like being able to enter a world where the biggest problems people face are how to get that cute new guy to ask them to the spring formal or how to weasel $100 out of their parents for a new dress. These cheap little novels are my talisman; they protect me from reality, at least for a little while. —September 2005.
