I so enjoyed putting this together. It is a good representation of my life right now.
Journaling: Because of you, my sweet son Hayden, I became a mother. You have taught me so much and I can’t imagine my life without you being a part of it. I love how you never stop taking, are always asking questions and striving to learn. You are so sweet and sensitive and a wonderful big brother to Madison and I am so lucky you are part of my life.~My sweet Madison, what a most precious gift you are. You bring so much love to our family. You have taught me that the spoken word isn’t the only form of communication, hugs and kisses tell so much. Thank you for loving me unconditionally and for choosing me to be your mommy. I am so happy you are a part of my life.~My husband Will – I love you so much and after 20 years of a marriage, two wonderful children, and many trials and tribulations, we are still one. You are my strength, my soul mate, my partner and my friend. Thank you for being with me.~My family – I am so blessed to be a part of this group of amazing people. As we grow older, we have moved apart and have families of our own, but one thing has remained constant. Family is who we are and who we become. I love you all.~Scrapbooking the memories about life, family and events is something I must do. It has become a part of me, my soul, and my everyday routine. I have not only recorded our life, but also wrote stories to share with our future generations. I know this is something that is a part of my being.~My career wasn’t something I planned when I entered college, but has evolved over the years. As of young grad entering the workforce, a challenge was afforded me in the field of Real Estate. I sure can’t believe I have worked here for 21 years. My office, my desk, my space is who I am professionally, maybe not what I had planned, but who I have become.~Choosing to live on the shores of Lake Superior came naturally. What a breathtaking view I have out my door each day, is one that we sometimes take for granted. My son can explore outside without fear and enjoy the Upper Michigan woods. Sure I have dreamed of moving, looking for better opportunities not only financially, but for the sake of Madison’s disability, but we remain here, a place that we call home.~Photography is such an important part of my life – recording childhood milestones, important and historical events, and just things of pleasure is something I need to do. I don’t have many childhood photos of myself – family circumstances and tragedies played a role in that. I want to make sure my children can see a scrapbook of themselves growing up and enjoying life.~Flowers and gardening are nature’s beautiful gift to the earth. I love pulling up to our home and seeing our yard so full of life. Hayden enjoys helping me prepare and plant in the spring. Fresh vegetables created by us are our rewards, working with Hayden, planting, weeding and harvesting is the other. I can’t imagine my life without fresh blooms.~Okay, I swear. I was one of those free driving, Eagle Talon sports car drivers that said I would never own a mini van. Well, I do and practically live out of the Villager. It has become not only our means of transportation, but my portable office, and a comfortable ride away from home during one of our many hospital visits for Madison. It is perfect for our family and I reluctantly admit that I couldn’t function without it.~Crops are something that I discovered are not really for an opportunity to create scrapbook pages, but a social event and shopping spree. I recently attended two Michigan 2Peas Pubsters crops that I actually traveled 800 miles to attend! What an awesome opportunity to be among friends who share the same passion as me. I am blessed to say that two of my closest friends are from the Pub message Board. Can people you have never met, who live in places you have never been, become life long friends? Definitely.~Finally – sports, especially hockey and not just any hockey, but Hockeytown – Detroit Red Wings Hockey – is a part of my life, what a year of misery we faced when last years season was cancelled – members of the team seem like members of my family – When they don’t succeed, aren’t successful – a lump appears in my being. Our family’s obsession with hockey has resonated to our son and his desire to be successful with his local team. Hockey’s back – and it is not soon enough.
Supplies: Basic Grey PP, Bazzill cs, sizzlets heart share, Ranger Distress ink, Basic grey fibers, Basic Grey undressed monograms, American Crafts letter stickers, CK Journaling and SP Coffee Break fonts.
TFL, Mary
