We've been seeing lots of fun and trendy shapes in scrapbooking lately - arrows, chevrons, hexagons, geotags, just to name a few - so this month's Garden theme is appropriately called “Shape Up Your Scrapbooking.” For my layout I decided to focus on speech bubbles (or thought bubbles, conversation bubbles, whatever you want to call them! LOL). This is such a fun shape that was very prevalent last year in scrapbooking products and I'm happy to see that the trend is still going strong this year as well. The subject of my layout is my son Brandon and his little (BIG!) obsession with asking Siri all sorts of questions on his new iPod touch. This boy will spend hours talking to Siri - asking her about his favorite places, sports stars, super heros, etc - as well as some pretty ridiculous (and typically boy) questions like “where do boogers come from?” Apparently Siri has always wondered the same thing and has no idea! LOL I used the Ready Set Go collection by Amy Tangerine (currently on sale in the Two Peas shop) for this layout. The colors were perfect for the photos I took of Brandon and his iPod. I've related similar products that incorporate speech bubbles in my supplies as well. I cut out several speech bubbles from one of the patterned papers in the collection and filled them up with lots of fun stickers and die cuts. Instead of listing all the things my son asks Siri, I thought the stickers were a fun way to represent the many topics of conversation. I popped these up with dimensional adhesive for lots of visual interest. I also printed my journaling on a few of the speech bubbles as well. Thanks for looking! :)
