Hi everyone! I am back with another Seeing Double video tutorial for you! For today's tutorial I focused on creating a scrapbook layout and card focusing on the same design elements - circles. I used goodies from the brand NEW Boy Crazy collection by My Minds Eye along with some papers by Echo Park and Pebbles and alphabets from Simple Stories from my stash. I tend to be a very linear scrapper - I like my straight lines and use a ruler every chance I get. ;) To mix things up a bit I decided to focus on circles. Lots and lots of circles. They are the main design element on both my layout and card and lend themselves to a very fun and festive feel which was perfect for these quirky photos of my youngest Brandon and his best buddy Darren. The circles help to add a lot of movement to my page along with a longer title that has been laid our vertically and along a curve. I often call myself a card making scrapbooker (or is that scrapbooking card maker! LOL) and creating a card or two after I finish making a layout is something I do quite often. I already have all of the supplies I need right out on my work table, and it's a great way to use up those smaller pieces of paper leftover from your layout. You will see in the video that I used circles in very much the same way on my card as I did on my layout. CHALLENGE: Create both a layout AND a card using circles as a major design element. Upload your projects to the correct challenge gallery for a chance to win a 2Peas Gift Certificate. Challenge ends in one week.
