My entry for the CK/McCormick contest. Bazzill cardstock, K & Co patterned paper, Quickutz CK Typist font, Making Memories rubon and tree brads, Santa's Workbench and Textured Trios ribbons, Paper Company vellum and SBC Lovemom font.
Journaling reads:
It’s interesting how everybody has something different that stands out in their mind regarding Christmas baked goods. Growing up there were many standards. On Christmas morning we would have Stollen, and often Mom would make a Buche de Noel, but what stands out in my mind are Chewy Noels.
To Dad it wouldn’t be Christmas without Tree Cookies (the name given to this particular sugar cookie recipe). I suppose we must have made them every year when I was growing up, but I really don’t have lots of memories of them. Sure I remember the occasional time of frosting them, but that really could have been any time of year. Maybe I’ve blocked them out since I believe that there are many far superior cookies.
