I made several Mother's Day cards for friends this year. They were a poignant reminder that I couldn't make one for my own Mother. Then I remembered an article written by Rebecca Sower titled "When Someone Dies - Let Scrapbooking Heal a Broken Heart." This is my way of making something for my Mother this year.
Used Scenic Route Paper Co - Stage Diamonds and Stage Brocade. Also used Chatterbox Dark and Light Burgandy Solids. "Cherish" is from the Making Memories "Defined" Collection, and Black Linen Cardstock.
Journaling: If I Could...
I would tell you how much I admire your strength and courage during times of adversity.
I would let you know how much your strong Christian faith has influenced my life.
I would snuggle with you one more time.
I would caress your beautiful face and memorize every feature of it.
I would tell you how much I love you one more time.
I would tell you how proud I am that Drew looks like you.
I would give you more of my time - That's all you ever asked for.
I miss you Mama.
Thanks for taking time to look!
