Chris and I had brought some leftover cake that we had gotten for his birthday the day before.
As Andrew was eating the frosting off the candles he decided that it would be fun to see how many he could stick in his mouth at one time.Since we would be celebrating Andrew’s birthday again at a later point, we held off on giving him his main gift, but instead gave him a jar of homemade applesauce. Unfortunately, this was my first experience with canning, and the applesauce had fermented.
Andrew gave Chris an IOU for a copy of Band of Brothers on DVD. To confuse him about what it was, Andrew wrapped the gift in a large box. From Mom Chris received gift certificates for Hobby Town and Barnes and Noble. She gave Andrew some money to keep him eating when he hikes the Appalachian Trail.
