One tiny little picture and the rest is from our placemats and the comment card. Unknown cardstock. Journaling font is 2Peas Squish and it reads
It all started in March of 1997 on the Twine Ball Trip. We had passed by a Steak ‘n Shake in Hammond, IN and Darlene and Steve wanted to stop. I thought it sounded kind of sketchy and I convinced them that we should keep on driving. The next year a Steak ’n Shake was built in Valpo. Since it was the only 24-hour eatery at the time, naturally I went and sampled the food. It was good! Darlene and Steve were upset that I had deprived them of the opportunity to experience Steakburgers, so they drove from Ithaca, NY to Cincinnati, OH so that they could try the food themselves.
Then last year while in Georgia, we happened to go past a sign for Steak ‘n Shake. It was a little too far out of our way and it was late at night so Chris refused to let me stop. This year I was determined to make a stop. We got online to try to find the closest location and hadn’t quite figured that out. So we inquired when we picked up the rental car. Unfortunately the guy wasn't positive of the exit number (he had told us it was a number that unfortunately was not a valid exit number) so we tried an extra exit to check when we were close. Finally we got there. Unfortunately there was a short wait, and then an even longer wait to actually get our food, but finally we were in Steakburger heaven. On our way back to the airport we stopped again. This time the service was much more speedy. We filled out a comment card stating that they needed to put some locations in New England.
