journaling reads: the summer of 2008, brought about many changes in you, my sweet Ashlyn. after suffering for many years with Sensory Integration issues, you've shown us once again that you're a fighter. you have conquered your fear of having water in your face by doing such things as taking showers instead of baths, jumping into Papa's pool and being okay with water splashing in your face, and even playing happily in the sprinkler on a hot sunny day, totally content to have water dripping down your forehead. you're learning to adapt and learning that it really isn't the end of the world if a drop of water is in your eyes. so cool! i thought this day would never come.
