A rough day for my dd1 :(After getting into an argument with you about leaving the house without your wig on, you insisted that people would stare at you and say that you looked like a boy. Your father and I insisted that would not happen. We went shopping later that day and some stranger rudely asked me, right in front of you, like you weren’t there,“What’s the matter with her? After about 5 seconds of stunned silence, I said coldly, “She had a tumor. To which the man said nothing. Not even an apology. I was stunned and could feel the anger rising up inside of me. I took you out to dinner to make you feel better, but instead, the waitress who served us, asked me if your chicken dinner was “for him , like you couldn’t hear her. She realized her mistake, but by then, the damage was done. You were crushed to realize that all your fears had come true. I was sorry that I put you in a position where you were uncomfortable and even sorrier that you learned at 15, that sometimes there are people in this world who suck.
