This is a 6x6 gift album I made for my sister for Christmas. She loves ladybugs.
This album uses CTMH 6x6 page protectors. The cover is handmade. I use mat board and cut it to the size I need, about 7x7. I cut two spine pieces that are 1x7. I use packing tape to connect 1 spine to 1 cover.
I cover the front and back with paper about 1 inch bigger on all sides of the cover (the joined spine and cover). I use sheet adhesive and apply pattern paper folding it over the edges and miter folding the corners on the back. On the inside of the covers I apply another piece of paper to cover the blank space and edge of the front cover paper.
I then punch holes to line up with my page protectors. I use large size eyelets to make the holes look nice. You can get larger grommets in the sewing section that are the same as eyelets, but at a fraction of the price. Colors are limited, but you can emboss them for color.
I use ribbon to run through the covers and protectors. I like to put a spacers in between each page protector because without them the pages tend to fan out, more so than if you were using posts. I tie the ribbon as tight as I can to make it nice and secure. I usually add dangles with charms to the bow on the front.
This book follows the CTMH ABC design program.
