Last night I attended a book signing at Book People in Austin, TX. But, this wasn't just any signing, nope, it was a book signing by none other than Ree Drummond aka Pioneer Woman! And yes, she is as down-to-earth, funny, humble and gracious as one would assume after reading her blog posts. She was accompanied by her hubby (aka Marlboro Man) and her kids, as well as some local family members including her sister, Betsy, whom I briefly spoke with after lending her a pen so she could sign someone's book. Yup, the whole family was in on the signing!And, as if it wasn't enough to get to hear Ree answer questions and share tidbits about her life, as well as get our books signed, each person who waited in the long line to get their book signed received a Pioneer Woman t-shirt! How cool is that? How she stayed so up and social through hours of signing, chatting and photo opps is beyond me…I was worn out just watching it all unfold.Thanks Ree for making Austin a stop on your 2009 book tour - we had a great time!
