Hi Peas! Welcome to another video of the weekly IN THE MOOD TO SCRAP series! It's a cool idea where a garden girl creates a mood-board and based on it, creates a scrapbook page. I am going to show (and explain) to you how this layout, which is based on a Pinterest moodboard, came together! You'll find a new lesson in this series in the Videos section of Two Peas each Tuesday. This layout was inspired by tags, banners and a color scheme (red, black, kraft). I saw these photos on Pinterest (you can find all of them on my ‘cards + tags’ board) and immediatly fell in love with journaling on some of the tags, the colors and banners. I am not very good at calligraphy, so I came up with the idea of using a stencil instead. I also wanted my photo to look like a tag, I even altered it with sand paper. The color scheme is very intensive and it is a great alternative for the blue/green masculine color combos - furthermore the color scheme is perfect christmas related pages (you might want to add a bit of gold/glitter then).>> Janna´s cards + tags Pinterest board [pinterest.com]Here´s a bit about the products I chose:I used patterned paper scraps (Dear Lizzy - Lucky Charm, Amy Tangerine - Ready.Set.Go., Allison Kreft for Webster´s Pages - Composition & Color), tags (Manila Tags - but you could also use papers that have tags on them), white gelly pen, October Afternoon ‘Travel Girl - sew fun banners’, Stickers and white spray by Studio Calico, wood veneers by Freckled Fawn, die-cut cardstock & transparencies by Basic Grey (Mint Julep collection), masking tape, brush, rub-on by Pink Paislee ( Luxe collection), stamp by Amy Tangerine, ink, scissors, glue, dimensional, sand paper, black pen, sewing machine and Dear Lizzy die-cut cards (Lucky Charm collection).>> I am adding similar products to the supply list, so you can see all the fabulous tags and banners that Two Peas has in stock! My challenge this week: Get inspired by the tags and/or banners seen on the moodboard. Include tags or the color scheme onto a scrapbooking page (or any other papercrafting project). Every month we will draw a winner from all the MOOD TO SCRAP entries and reward them with a $10 gc. It will be announced on the 2peas blog at the beginning of September.
