Sorry I had to repost this. There was a strange problem with my original post.Hey, I killed 3 birds with one stone here (Ali Edwards Designer's Eye strategies 4 and 5 and stash challenge - Jolee's)! I love these old pics of my sister, cousin, and me from 1968. I wish the pictures weren't so faded. Anyhow, I was finally able to use that Jolee's kimono and Asian papers from on of those collage scrap paper packs you can get at Michael's. I used Krylon gold pen around the title. Journaling is about the creative costumes my mom used to make me and reads: I love this 1968 Halloween photo of Tina (age 9), Dawn (age 3), and me (age 5). Dawn looks so sweet, and I love Tina's expression that you can barely see through her veil. I especially love my costume and how Mom fixed up my hair. We always had homemade costumes– not once did we ever get store-bought get-ups. Mom was so creative. I remember one year she dressed me as Mother Nature and made a cape out of sheer green fabric and sewed fake flowers all over it. My all-time favorite costume was when I dressed as “I Dream of Jeannie,” with sheer pink harem pants and a hat just like the one Barbara Eden wore in my favorite TV show. Later, when we were teenagers, we dressed as the rock band Kiss, and Mom helped us with the wild makeup and costumes. For some reason, those are the only costumes I remember. I have a huge black hole in my memory bank, but I do vividly remember these few whimsical and creative costumes.
