I had cut these crayon photos out of a magazine months ago knowing I would eventually do this layout.

Journaling reads: I'm pretty sure my love of words was born in that school-bus-yellow box of Crayola crayons. I loved opening that hinged lid to find row upon row of perfectly pointy colors. And I loved the names. I'd read them over and over: apricot… aquamarine…raw sienna…thistle…cadet blue… bittersweet…goldenrod…burnt umber…orchid periwinkle…magenta…mahogany…cornflower… and midnight blue. I'm a little jealous of the kids today who get to open their Crayolas and find such colors as mauvelous and cerulean, eggplant and inchworm, jazzberry jam and purple mountain's majesty. I wonder if they realize just how lucky they are.

I used all KI stuff. Rub-on letters are from a QVC kit. Tiny buttons are from Michael's. Font is Arial. I outlined the KI letters so they'd be more defined. Black border around the outside is just there so the white doesn't float off the screen. Thanks for looking at my layout! ~Debbi T
