Random childhood picture calls for a random memory. Hidden journaling reads:

I always thought “eggy in a hole in the bread” was a family invention. We'd have this tasty breakfast a lot when we were kids. A simple recipe: butter some bread…cut a square hole in the middle of the bread…place the bread in the frying pan…break an egg so the yolk sits in the hole. There you have it–eggy in the hole in the bread! I had forgotten all about this breakfast until recently, when I stumbled upon a book about American foods in a bookstore at the National Museum of American History. The title of the page caught my eye: “Toad in the Hole.” I read on and discovered that our dear “eggy in a hole in the bread” was a misnomer! Oh, well…if we couldn't take credit for inventing a recipe, at least we could say we invented a name for it!

Combined 2 challenges. For DW, I used Renee Camacho's June 22 idea of embelllishing a plain envelope so it blends into your page design. For the stash challenge, I used striped paper, stickers, and something metal.Materials: Patterned papers: Fancy Pants (stripes), Paper Loft (small flower paper), and 3 Bugs in a Rug (large flower cut out). Rub-on letters are MM. Polka dot stamp is Heidi Swapp. yellow word stickers are 7 Gypsies. Brad is Queen & Co. the square thing on the bottom is KI. Thanks for looking! ~Debbi T
