A school photo of me from my childhood. It was a bit of a challenge to find papers to go with that wacky dress I was wearing. Gotta love the 70’s!

Journaling reads: “Stars, angel kisses, kisses from the sun. These metaphors coined to make freckle-faced kids feel better about all those reddish-brown spots peppering their skin did absolutely nothing to change my mind about my freckles. I just plain hated them. Other kids would call me freckle-face, and it really hurt my feelings. Now that I'm grown up, I don't mind them–freckles are just a part of who I am. They cover my face and arms and hands, and I have a few sprinkled on my legs, and that's just fine by me. Oh, and these days, when I see a kid with freckles, I think they are simply charming.”

I combined several challenges. Little-ducky posted a challenge to use the K&Co. Words to Go. The DW inspiration came from Nia’s Sept. 1 card. For the patterned paper challenge, I used a patterned paper frame. For the stash challenge I combined really old paper with newer paper.

Materials: Patterned papers are Fancy Pants, Prima, Penny Black and something so old it wasn’t even printed with the brand. Rusty Pickle lace. Prima flower. Chatterbox rivets. K&Co. Words to go. Wordsworth letter stickers. Misc. button from my stash. Gill Sans font. TFL! ~Debbi T
