I started the last pup layout and ended up using parts of it for this one, so 2 pup layouts done today - yeay! This one describes how we potty trained Sebastian. I swear it was harder than Mackenzie's newborn days. At least she wore a diaper! LOL! My first time using gingham ribbon - it was 70% off at Joann's, so I had to go for it. Font is Vogue. Journaling reads: “Otherwise known as ”Sebastian's potty training area“. We brought Sebastian home in March of 2002, just a few months after we'd moved into our new house. It was the middle of winter when we moved in, so we didn't have a lawn yet. To prevent mud from being tracked all over the house, we laid out straw in the backyard just outside the entry door. We had hoped that Sebastian would learn to only ”do his duty“ here and prevent us from having to clean up the entire yard later on. We would walk Sebastian out to his spot on the straw up to 6 times a night and every hour during the day and give him the command ”go potty“. It was a long, hard road, but Sebastian was finally potty trained at 6 months old. Unfortunately, I think this is the only spot in the yard that he doesn't go potty now, but, come to think of it, he never much liked going on the straw anyway. Mud came to be a regular part of the decorating for a little while there. Thank goodness our lawn finally grew in later that year and the ”go potty“ command still works like a charm.” Thanks! Heather
