Tapes, Trims, and Borders. They have become a staple. So many uses, big or small, thick or thin, bright or clear. That's what's so cool about them, they are versatile. You can use the whole 12" strip or just use a little at a time. There are so many types, too.....stickers, fabric, plastic, stamps, rub-ons, paper.......

Wow, that's a lot of products! That ought to keep you busy for a bit!
Let's jump into the samples some of the Garden Girls have made for you. I'll go first....

I used KI Borderlines Cardstock Stickers. They have become a product I reach for layout after layout. Most of the time I just use one or a part of one. But on this layout I created a pattern with several of the borders. The bright colors pop off the white background. It would also look great to use the Domino Borderline Cardstock Stickers on a bright background.

Rhonda Bonifay also created a pattern on her layout using border stickers. She used several from different packages that were leftover. A great way to use that stash up!

Stacey Sattler combined two different border products, Doodlebug Frills and a Hero Arts Border Stamp. She used the stamp to embellish the paper Frills. What a great idea! Think of all the things you could add to those Frills....stickers, rhinestones, brads, eyelets, glitter.....

I think Jamie Waters is a master at using border stickers. I credit her with getting me addicted! I love how Jamie uses bits and pieces of borders and layers them around her photo. She even added some stamped borders. The rhinestones layered on top are the most fabulous feminine additions.

Lisa McGarvey cut and pasted together Cosmo Cricket borders to create the most perfect accent. She pieced the phrases together that worked for her layout. The Cosmo Cricket borders come in a sheet of 12x12 paper. Just cut and adhere!

Don't forget that ribbons make great borders. Tia Bennett went a step further by using the backside of embroidered trim. On the backside you can see all the brightly colored threads that combined to make the pattern on the front side. Leave it to Tia to find beauty in unusual places!

And don't forget about digital either! Jen Lessinger used a star border from her digital kit, On the Edges. But she didn't stop there. She used a die-cut machine to then cut those stars from the paper.

Amy Grendell used KI Borderlines to help edge the patterned paper blocks on her layout. She also used them to help accent the row of photos.

I used KI Borderlines on this layout as well. This time though I just used one, and it's serving a greater purpose....it's holding my layout together. I had these to halves of the Lace Cardstock and decided to use them together instead of opening a new one. They overlap perfectly and I placed the Borderline down the seam. You could reinforce on the backside.

Now, dig out those tapes, trims and borders.....or buy some new!!
