My mom has been writing letters for each of her grandchildren. When I got the beautiful letter she wrote for my daughter, I knew I had a layout in the making. Papers are by 7 gypsies, Me & My Big Ideas, Li'l Davis and Beth Cote. Journaling is on vellum with the edges aged with metallic rub. The “Love” plaque was a make and take from the scrapbook festival at Mall of America. Journaling reads “ANDREASome of my favorite memories are the days I have spent with you. During The school year it was always on Sunday, we would pick up your cousins, Miranda,Amber, Aubrie, and Micah, and we would go to Sunday School and Church together, and then come to my house for a day of playing games, watching movies, and eating all of your favorite things. We loved being with each other. We tried to do so many things, the day was always too short. Each day we spent together was filled with fun and love. During the summers we switched the day to Wednesday, and we had the whole leisurely day. Swimming in the river in front of our house, was the primary event of the day. Oh how you loved the water. Each year you would move out another post on the Dock to jump in, until you finally reached the end of the dock. You never tired of swimming, sometimes after three to four hours, you still wanted more time in the water. Late in the afternoon, I would take you home. You always thought the time was far too short, and you wanted to stay longer. You would be so tired. You could hardly keep your eyes open on the twenty-minute trip home. This day I watched as you walked away from the van toward your house, and thought of how tall and slim you had grown, how pretty your hair was as it bounced with each step you took. I wondered, ”how did you get to be ten so quickly? Wasn't it just a short time ago you were that newborn baby, I held in my arms when you were just a few minutes old?“ Just as you reached the bottom step you turned your head and grinned at me, and then yelled, ”I love you more.“ You ran up the steps, and you were gone. Once again you had the last word.I can't remember when it started, but from the time you were very little, you played this game. Whenever I said, ”I love you,“ you would always bounce back with ”I love you more,“ and no matter how many times I would repeat, ”no I love you more,“ you would somehow always sneak in the last, ”I love you more." The sparkle in your gorgeous dark eyes, told me you really meant the words you spoke. Those words brought much sunshine into my life. Thank you Andrea.Andrea, someday as I leave this world, to be with Jesus, I will turn, look back over my shoulder, smile down at you, with a sparkle in my eye, and years of love in my heart, and one last time I will shout, “I LOVE YOU MORE AND THAT IS THE LAST WORD!!!!!” Thanks for looking. Sue
