For my Halloween-themed page, I decided to use my husbands' crafty, creepy carvings from a couple of years ago, as my focal point. The images are so dark, I really wanted to keep this same nighttime feel. I wanted the glow from the jack-o-lanterns to pop off the page.One of the tricks I did to achieve this was to use the neutral colors, then with the colored elements such as the orange corrugated thickers in my title, I used some black mist to tone down the orange so that they weren't as bright. The translucent quality of the yellow stickers by American Crafts, adds to the spook-factor over this deep smokey grey cardstock. I am really please with the result.I am loving all of the neutrals in the fall collections right now. They make creating pages with a variety of manufacturers a cinch! This page combines October Afternoon, Jenni Bowlin, American Crafts, Jillibean Soup, and even Heidi Swapp and you'd never know they were from so many different places!TFL!
