This is from a paper crafts magazine I got at a convention last year. You start with a 13“ x 18”-ish fabric placemat…fold up the bottom 4.5“ and stitch the sides down. Now fold it in three equal parts…right side first, left side over top of that. Line everything up and press the edges. Open the folio again and take a fabric marker or a pencil and draw a line over the crease in the pockets. Stitch along this line to create three equal pckets inside the folio. Stitch a 24”-ish ribbon on the back of the far left pocket seam for a closure. One ribbon will go under, one over and tie at the right side.Inside I added an address book I made with covered chipboard and jump rings. I did the inside pages with Word. I also added 8 handmade cards, envelopes and return address labels. These will be cute ‘handmade gifts’ this Christmas for my sister and sisters-in-law. :)
