A friend of my mom's asked me to make this as a going away gift for some friends of theirs who are moving away (got all that? LOL!) The challenge was that I had only 9 photos - thankfully they were emailed to me in very high res, so I was able to do some photo editing, and multiplying to make up 12 pages of an 8X8 album. The first photo is the cover of the album - it's an 8X8 Mrs G's black vinyl album that I decoupaged with papers, a photo (the group of friends all lived on that street at one time - that's how they met), ribbons, etc. to personalize it a little more.

The photos are in order as they appear in the album. There's no journaling written yet - I've left that for my mom's friend to add.

In photo 3, the journaling is a tag inside the burlap pp envelope. In photos 4 and 5,(actually a 3-page spread + 1 single-pager) I cropped out faces of each of the people in the group, and made a small pocket and blank tag for each person to write a personal note to the couple moving away. On the single page spread, the journaling is two larger tags tucked behind the photo with the text on it…the black/white ribbons are the pulls for the journaling tags. The “potholder” photo mat is just strips of woven paper I glued together..couldn't find a paper that I liked, so I made one! On the “Bling” layout, the journaling is behind the photo on the right-hand page - you can see the small pull tab sticking up behind the photo. In photo 7, the journaling tag is inside the mini file folder on the right hand page. The last page is ready for a photo and journaling about the “reunion” party where the couple will receive this mini album.

LOTS of different pp's, and embellishments used throughout…too many to list here, so if you have any questions about anything in particular, please feel free to PM me! TFL! Kathy
