I really liked this sketch. All of the strips have different “hinges” so that they can lift up. Journaling says: I'm not quite sure why I take so many pictures of my children asleep. Is it because sleep is so fleeting - like their litttle baby faces? Or is it because they sleep in the funniest places?Inside left: At two years old, Carter rarely slows down for a nap anymore. He's so busy trying to catch up with Bethany that he just doesn't have time to sleep. A couple of times a week I catch him snoozing wherever his little body gives out. He's been known to sleep at the kitchen table, on the beanbag, on the floor, or like these pics - on my rocker.Inside right: 1. Could there be anything more precious than a sleepy newborn? Truman might be my fourth, but I am still in awe of these miraculous creatures whom I am blessed to call my children. 2. Bethany had asked Thomas to please paint her fingernails. He hadn't even started her second hand when she laid her head down on her arm and started snoring. Thomas is so sweet with all the little girls in our family. He tenderly finished her nails then moved her over to the couch to finish her nap. 3. Carter's hands must always be out of the covers and near his face * such a sweaty sleeper * holds almost too still * does the “sneeze of sleep” * I tried to memorize every feature…his red hair…the downy hair on his shoulders…his funny shaped ears…his beautiful lips. 4. Bethany and Carter usually wake up so happy. Mama Bethy would often cuddle with her brother until he was ready to wake up. 5. We had been visiting the G's and Bethany had fallen asleep on the two block drive home. She woke up enough to come into the house, but she didn't quite make it all the way up the stairs to her bedroom.
