Yeah - I'm finally done! I couldn't get the scanning right, so I had to take digital pictures. I had so many ideas for this journal, but only implemented a few. There just isn't enough room! Ha. Even though I hate my handwriting, I included some of my writing on my pages. I'm not entirely happy with the results, but overall, I love how my journal came out. The theme is "Then & Now”. The size of my journal is 10x10. Here are the details on my pages: 1. Background paper Autumn Leaves, cardstock Bazzill, MM ransom metal letters, Magic scraps label holder. 2. Introduction page – background paper Autumn Leaves, cardstock Bazzill, journaling on vellum with font CK Fraternity, attached with MM mini brads. 3&4. Sign in pages - Background paper Provo Craft Slab II, Autumn Leaves paper for the pockets, cardstock tags Bazzill. I stitched around the outside of the paper with DMC floss to form pockets for the tags. There are 4 pages of sign in, two tags per page for a total of eight. I used EK success sticker letters and tags to create my name, and though you can't see it there is a MM metal plaque of a palm tree. 5. My “Then & Now” page. Pictures of me at 17 and 31. The background paper is Provo Craft Slab III, solid cardstock colors unknown (just whatever I had on hand), fiber across top, variety of MM metal letters and numbers. 6. The background paper is Provo Craft Slab III, computer journaling CK Flourish, Tiny Tales quote, MM metal rimmed circle tag with cutout Autumn Leaves paper flowers, Adornments fibers, vellum envelope with flower clip from CK Clips and Fonts for Special Occasions, butterfly cutout from Autumn Leaves paper, journaling words are BoBunny expression stickers. I know that you may not be able to make out the journaling, so here is a condensed version; I had a realization when I went home to Spokane WA this past fall – I was remembering all the friends I had, the places I used to hang out, all the feelings I once felt as a teenager. I’m an adult now and life happens – I don’t have fun like I used to and I’m way too serious. Basically, I’m saying that even though I would never wish to be a teenager again, there are some things I could learn from the teenager that I once was. Namely: Have more fun and laugh more, be more daring and take risks, it’s OK to loose a few hours of sleep now and then, French fries are the cure all man problems, roll down the car windows more often – windblown hair is OK and cry on your girlfriends shoulder – it will help. 7. I made tags to include some things that were important to me at 17 in contrast to the reality of today. I only took pictures of one side of the tags, but there are two sides. I cut the green letters out with the Colluzzle from Bazzill cardstock. “Thens” from L to R: copy of my high school diploma from Shadle in Spokane/on the reverse is a picture of the building where I work in Orlando, a picture of the house I grew up in/on the reverse is a picture of the house I bought and live in now, a picture of my hometown Spokane/on the reverse is a picture of downtown Orlando. 8. “Nows” from L to R: Favorite band Matchbox Twenty/on the reverse is a picture of Duran Duran my favorite band at 17, a picture of me and my friend Brandi (after a Matchbox Twenty concert!!!)/on the reverse is a picture of my best friend in high school, Erin, a picture of my car today/on the reverse is a picture of my first car (I bought my first car at 16 on my own - - having a car and independance were VERY important to me as a teenager!). 9. Just shows the two page spread and the vellum pocket where the tags go. Thanks for looking!
