I was really happy to get this week's AI…once again I was lovin' the color combo! Can't go wrong with black and white, so thanks for sending inspiration my way Shelby! My first thought when looking at this art piece was the art by Salvador Dali, The Persistence of Time…with all the melting clocks and watches! Some how by looking at the dripping ink like stuff I began to think of a melting heart…thus the theme of this lo, Good Charlotte Melts her Heart. Journaling reads…“Fourteen. How come out of no where, you are no longer my little bubbly,tom-boyish niece? You are now a full-fledged ”teen-ager“…Whoa! I see so many changes in you and I can remember those silly stages that I myself went through. You are so eager to flash your unique and independent side. You've chopped your hair into a style that I can't really pin-point,and well, usually you dress from head to toe in black. At this age you will have many crushes…and yes, you love to gab about those hottie guys! Currently you are so enthraled with those cute guys from the band, Good Charlotte. But I am sure very soon they with be old news, just like those dudes from Nsync! The plaster-like patterned background paper is Enchanted by Ever After Scrapbook Co. To get the darker ares as in the AI piece I rubbed the areas with a Clear Resist pad and rubbed on black decorating chalk. The side strip of black pp is Making Memories and the heart I cut free hand from Bazzill and inked with white and black pigment inks. Conchos are Bedazzler, Simply Stated rub-on for (heart). The Good Charlotte logo I copied from their web-site. Font is CK ”Inky" and the photo was changed to gray-scale with my software. That should about do it! Thanks so much! Andrea Amu
