Journaling is on the back of the layout–Is it Easter Yet?The kids had a hard time celebrating Easter in 2007. On Easter Sunday, both Micah and Sarah were sick—so Easter was postponed. The following week, they still didn’t celebrate Easter because Sarah was in the hospital! Grandma flew to Colorado to help out with the kids, and Sarah was soon released from the hospital. The next weekend we gathered up all the makings of Easter, and decided we’d celebrate this Sunday. So THAT Sunday morning, Becky, Abby, Micah, and Grandma went to church to start our celebration. When we got home from church, Abby and Micah found some Easter eggs on the porch on the way in. They gleefully opened the front door, and the hunt began in earnest. As the hunt continued, Becky and Grandma were trying to get pictures of the little blurs running all around trying to find eggs and Easter treats, and we were also noticing that Sarah’s “color” was way off. We tried getting her in the good light to give her the once over, but then she threw up. We tried to comfort her, but she just was not in the mood to be comforted at all. Besides being very pale, her lips were now turning a little blue and we were having trouble keeping her awake. We called 911 and the paramedics were on the scene very quickly. In the meantime, Brian called Dr. Wood, who ordered them to return to Children’s Hospital in Denver. Becky rode in the ambulance to the hospital, and Brian took the car. Needless to say, we didn’t get our Easter Feast that day! Maybe next year will be better!I used Heidi Grace paper, Autum leaves stamps. Ranger ink.
