additional journaling under the last photo–all the names of the people in the photo.Journaling over the 4 pages says:We enjoyed a lovely day with Jim’s family on the 27th. Lisa and Frank were the best hosts. They even cleaned the snow off our car and shoveled the driveway and walk with a big piece of plywood before we left. (A very unique way of removing snow!)All the kids were great. Carly took Abby under her wing and played air hockey, Barbies, and other games with her. She even fixed Abby’s lunch plate for her. Micah, Henry and Tad played hockey too, but Henry was a little more competitive than Carly. Sarah kept the adults entertained by cruising around the big coffee table in the living room and chasing their poor puppy around. Carly later treated us all to a concert of some Christmas songs on the keyboard. Micah’s favorite time, however, was the lunch!! Speaking of lunch, it was delicious. Nancy and the girls outdid their selves by fixing homemade white chili. They also had sandwich fixings, and had lots of Christmas snacks available. It was fun to have Earl and Jim together. I think they figured out it had been about 10 years since they’ve been together. Some things never change (rabbit ears on pictures for instance.) Nancy was the same sweet Nancy she’s always been, and we had a great visit. Sandy and her husband Dale were visiting from Virginia, so we had the delightful experience to meet Dale for the first time. He fit into the family very nicely. If we hadn’t known better, we would have thought STALEY was his last name in fact. Lisa’s home was delightful. I especially loved her nice warm and inviting kitchen. It had a huge island in the middle that allowed for lots of counter space! They’ve finished off the basement area into very beautiful living quarters that included a guest bedroom, with an attached bathroom (complete with sauna), media room, (with home theatre), and recreation room where the air hockey was set up. Like I said, it was a wonderful time together—and I look forward to the next time we can all get together. Hopefully, it won’t be another 10 years before that happens! I’ve included the Christmas photo from Uncle Lewis here too because this is probably as close as we’ll get to getting all three boys together! Too bad we all live so far apart.
